Our Story

Bo Herndon has been growing Vidalia onions and greens for 30 years. He started as a young man with a small plot of land and a simple tractor. Today that south Georgia farm spans 3500 acres.

Over the years, we have added new family members to our team just as we have added new crops to our land. Sweet corn was introduced in 1994 and, sixteen years later, one of America’s oldest crops, the sweet potato, sprouted on our farm…

Herndon’s crops are always in demand as they are all staples of southern cooking, but the news in recent years of the nutritive powers of greens has put their yields of kale, turnips, collards, and mustards in a megatrend category.

Knowing what a challenge it is to properly prepare greens, Herndon created SuperFit Greens. Marrying a healthy lifestyle with convenience, the greens are triple-washed, cut, and packaged in family-friendly portions.

The story of Herndon Farms is on every bag of SuperFit Greens because this is an American family farm who is proud of where it has come from and proud of where it is going.
